Mothers Day and the month of May

I have had the most wonderful Mother's Day... got to chat with my daughter this morning (via Skype messaging) and spent the afternoon with my mom, my 3 grandsons, ddl and son. It was a very busy day but a good day. My sewing however is suffering greatly due to the busy schedule we are all keeping between baseball for 2, track for one. work for all and then of course the grind of just the normal every day stuff that has to be done. So when I am lacking in sewing time for some darn reason i make it up in purchasing fabric............why is that? In the last week alone I have purchased 2 patterns- 13 fat quarters, 2 yards for a Miranda day bag and goodies, 6 yards for a baby sling ( it is a gift) and 5 yards for a baby diaper bag thingy. When I do not have time to sew what is already cut out and waiting what the heck am I thinking. So darn silly when I have fabric stashed in darn near every corner of this house I shudder to think if I had it all in one place. Not to mention the unfinished projects. What I really need to do is set my frame up full size - make some leaders - replace my wheels and finish up a stack of projects so I can move on to the next. I was really looking forward to next week we only had one game Monday, one game Tuesday, one game Thursday, district track meet on Friday and one game on Saturday and I feel over whelmed because they are adding another game on Friday plus practice on Sunday morning. These are for my 2 older grandsons who are 9 and 13 and then there is the 2 year old who is 2 going on 13 I think. I gave my daughter-in-law what I thought was the cutest card for mothers day it is 3 boys laying on their tummy's riding a skateboard down hill saying we are dead if mom catches us and inside it say raising boys is an extreme sport.........somehow it just fit. So tomorrow it work then baseball ( i am hoping for a rain out) and maybe I can get one more block done it is so hard for me to break them up into one block at a time. So my goal for this week is 3 blocks. I feel so unproductive.
